General Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented GL accountant to perform accounting tasks in collaboration with internal departments.

Overview:

The General Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager; maintains and controls the general ledger accounts and business transactions of the organization, applying the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) that includes analytical work and thorough review of financial records.

Responsibilities:

· Assist the Accounting Manager with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting department including budget review and analysis.

· Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursement are paid accurately and in accordance with Finance policies and procedures.

· Manage the processing of cash receipts, recording of revenue and receivable.

· Prepare and analyze the monthly budget/forecast to actual variance reports.

· Performing account analysis to ensure that journal entries and balances are correct.

Qualifications:

· Familiar with ERP/accounting systems.

· Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

· Two (2) years of accounting experience.

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
