THE JOB OVERVIEW
Supervise accounting staff in daily operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, ledger maintenance, revenue and asset accounting. Oversees calculation, posting and verification of financial data for use in maintaining accounting and statistical records. Ensure all analysis and reports are accurate and prepared in compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Establishes and implements productivity and quality standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business required.

· Three years or more of related experience required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Responsible for accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements

· Reconciles bank and credit card statements.

· Monitors loans, accounts payables, and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date.

· Reconciles and recommends resolution for report discrepancies and problems; advises staff regarding handling of non-routine transactions

· Initiate and coordinate a timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes;

· Coordinates and prepares pertinent information for external accounting firm and auditors.

· Responsible for supervising the accounting procedures of the company.

· Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position supervises the accounting staff.

Work Environment
This position works in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.
