The Position:
Neelands USA Limited Inc. is searching for a General Laborer (Construction) in Florida. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Construction Laborer will work closely with fellow construction team members and Foremen in the field installing refrigeration and cold storage box equipment. Hours of work will vary by project and may include weekend and night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Onload and off load equipment and materials at job sites
• Assemble and install refrigeration or cold storage units
• Measure, cut, thread and connect pipe to components and refrigeration system in new and remodeled stores
• Learn to use welding and brazing equipment safely
• Perform pressure test safely once pipework is complete to test for leaks
• Repair and alter pressure system if leak of damage is found
• Handle and store refrigerant safely
• Refrigeration system troubleshooting
• Assist the crew when necessary
• Assist with organizing and clean up
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent communication skills (read/write/speak)
• Strong mechanical aptitude an asset
• Ability to use hand and power tools is an asset
• Must be able to travel within Florida with some overnight stays
