Graphic Designer / Customer Service Representative Job Description

The Graphic Designer / Customer Service Representative ‘s responsibilities include visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts, and photos for our perspective customers. Most of the time our customers have an idea of what they want printed on a specific product, it is the Graphic Designer’s job to help the customer visualize how the final product will be produced and work hand-in-hand with that customer on what changes need to be made in order to fulfill the customer’s requests under the parameters of each product. The majority of the Graphic Designer / Customer Service Representative’s responsibilities will be spent promptly resolving any customer service issues and provide order progress/shipment statuses, relay concerns regarding orders in a timely and accurate manner, and exercising elevated levels of service and professionalism

Duties

• Study customer design briefs and determine requirements for scope of the order
• Conceptualize visuals based on customer needs and parameter requirements. Prepare samples drafts and image rendering in a timely prompt manner
• Develop illustrations, logos and other designs using software or by hand
• Ensure that the proper color is approved before production and monitors the color consistency from concept to finished product.
• Test graphics across various media when necessary.
• Amend designs after feedback
• Provide responses to emails and telephone calls in a courteous, professional, and prompt manner,
• Utilize standard technology such as telephone, e-mail, and web browser to perform job duties.
• Utilizes the company’s proprietary software for tracking the progression of orders.
• Utilizes programs such as google sheets, excel, Microsoft office, Illustrator, and other software for graphic design and reporting
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of each client’s regulations and policies.
• Reports problems that occur via the online system so they can be addressed by the appropriate parties
• Working special holidays and/or overtime may be required
• Regular and predictable attendance is required

Requirements:

• Proven graphic designing experience
• A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop)
• A keen eye for aesthetics and details
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
• Degree in Design, Fine Arts or experience in related field is a plus
• Ability to work within established turnaround times
• Must have excellent people skills and the ability to organize simultaneous tasks
• Ability to work as a member of a team
• Ability to think on your own feet and handle problems as they arise.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week during non-peak season (January – August) and up to 50 hours per week in peak season (September – December).

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Extended periods of standing and walking

Must be able to lift up to fifteen pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
