Cedar Hills Hospital currently has an opening for a full time Cook ($18 - $23/hour DOE) in our Inpatient Hospital. Responsibilities include preparation and service of breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.

Position Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Two (2) years of recent experience in quantity cooking, a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation and possession of food service food handler’s permit is required; experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils; and some prior kitchen supervisory experience helpful.

Training: Successful completion of Crisis Management and Service Excellence training must occur within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting in any restraining procedures.

This is a DAY shift position and will include weekend shifts. May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

This position has regular interaction with our in psychiatric inpatient population and requires respectful, calm, and professional communication with our patients that follows therapeutic care boundaries.
