Job Description

The Human Resources Specialist will help to build and retain a solid foundation of qualified employees for the company and ensure that processes and plans for the organization are carried out and implemented seamlessly. Plan, direct, and coordinate human resource management activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance. Monday-Friday 9:00am-6:00pm; Salaried Position

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities.

  • Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants.
  • Discover ways to attract qualified, reliable people to the company
  • Interview job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with employment agencies and other recruitment sources.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies and helping resolve work-related issues.

· Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.

· Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.

· Conduct new employee orientations.

· Arrange for training programs to ensure employees are fully equipped to do their jobs

· Collect, set up and maintain proper documentation for all employees

· Responsible for all human resource activities to include employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, and training and development

· Handle disputes between employees, documenting all incidents and coordinate resolution to issues

· Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.

· Administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.

· Ensure the company is adhering to equal employment opportunity laws and laws that protect against sexual harassment

· Other duties as assigned.
