Job Description:

  • Provide support with company and department initiatives and processes, such as job requisitions and hiring, new hire orientation, culture and engagement, and process and system management
  • Maintains employee files in compliance with applicable legal requirements and retention policies.
  • Responsible for employee data management in HRIS system and in our Payroll system
  • Responsible for onboarding all new employees, ensuring that all paperwork has been received and processed in a timely manner, including I-9 verification.
  • Responsible for handling Teamster’s Union paperwork including union dues
  • Assists the HR group with preparing temporary employee paperwork and coordination with agencies.
  • Completes various agency requests (i.e. verifications of employment, etc.).
  • Enters and maintains accurate employee information in HR and payroll systems.
  • Help employees and managers navigate through HR tools and processes.
  • Assigns, tracks, creates, and administers various trainings.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to all employees by answering employee questions and/or responding to employee inquiries.
  • Updates and maintains various HR-related documents.
  • Serves as the primary backup for processing payroll.
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and all regulatory agencies, including but not limited to: Brenntag Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Antitrust Compliance Policy, Protective Agreement, Dispute Resolution Agreement, DDOL, EEOC etc.
  • Submits and manages documents in our legal database to ensure compliance for new hire documents and contracts.
  • Supports the vision and mission of the company.
  • Perform other tasks and projects as needed to support the human resources department.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree (business, organizational management, human resources management or related degree), and a minimum of 3-5 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Multi-state experience is preferred.
  • Must have experience supporting front-line management
  • Experience in warehousing, manufacturing or distribution environments strongly preferred.
