Essential Human Resources Functions:

  • Maintain HRIS system, employee personnel and medical files, and employee-related data bases.
  • Perform routine recruiting functions, including internal and external job postings.
  • New employee onboarding. Conduct fingerprint/ background checks, and all federal and state filing requirements.
  • Benefits administration for health, life and 403(b) retirement plans.
  • Administer annual federal compliance reporting, maintain current federal and state labor laws and posting requirements.
  • Maintain ongoing Affirmative Action/EOE processes to meet State requirements.
  • Administer and monitor FMLA, ADA and Worker's Compensation, and OSHA reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate annual company training programs, maintain Learning Management System and employee training records.
  • Serve on the Bethel's Management Team.
  • Participate in the Safety and Wellness Committee.
  • Provide ongoing employment summaries to Executive Director and Program Directors.
  • Provide employee relations support in compliance with company policies and procedures, and state and federal labor laws.
  • Ongoing study and examination of HR rules and regulations through various electronic and written updates.
  • Perform all other HR duties of a similar or related level.

Other requirements:

  • HR Generalist certification, ability to complete related program, OR relevant education and/or experience in Human Resources or advanced administrative setting.
  • General knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and practices pertaining to personnel and benefits administration.
  • Must possess a high degree of interpersonal skill and professionalism.
  • Must demonstrate ability to maintain confidentiality in all duties.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Possess executive level writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently with interruptions, and prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Be willing to work extended hours when necessary.
