POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources Specialist will provide full support to the field operations management team under the direction of the Human Resources Manager. This person will be the first point of contact for company employees, supervisors, and managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Maintains confidentiality of all Human Resources related issues.
· Assists assigned business location with employee relations services.
· Receives and documents incoming employee relations issues accordingly.
· Conducts investigations concerning employee or manager inquiries and employee relations issues under the direction of the HR Manager.
· Administers and monitor disciplinary process and corrective actions.
· Receives and investigates employees’ inquiries such as payroll or employee benefits issues.
· Assists employees with benefit program and leave of absence questions.
· Maintains updated job descriptions for all client group positions.
· Interviews, prepares, and submits documents for new hires, transfers, or terminated employees. Conducts exit interviews.
· Assists in coordinating and conducting HR related training for all employees as needed.
· Maintains updated new hire and rehire packets.
· Identifies, interviews, and make recommendations for high potential employees.
· Conducts worksite visits and travel to various work locations when necessary.
· Assists in continuous improvement projects as assigned.
· Reviews and follows up on meal compliance issues.
· Maintain the human resources information system and training database records.
· Supports the recruitment and selection process for client group openings.
· Receives and processes employment appeals.
· Conducts conflict of interest meetings with employees in critical positions.
· Assists with On-the-Job Training for new hires in critical positions.
· Conducts hourly employee harassment prevention training.
· Conducts employee outreach interviews, analysis findings and provides recommendations to HR management.
· Reviews and audits employee cellphone allowance program eligibility and participants.
· Initiated personal accommodations.
· Monitors headcount per department in order to partner with the recruitment team as needed.
· Works in coordination with the administrative staff for new and rehire orientation and onboarding activities.
· Assist and support managers and supervisors in all HR related matters.
· Ensure key human resources metrics are met.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a relevant field.
· HR Certification (i.e., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
· Experience in agriculture food manufacturing preferred.
Language
· Bilingual in English and Spanish with the ability to read, write and speak.

While performing the duties of this job the employee will be exposed to typical office environment. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. However, employee is expected to travel to the different locations (within 50 miles radius from primary location) to interact with employees in multiple processes.
