HVAC/R Service Technician

IC Mechanical is a Design Build Mechanical and HVAC/R contractor based out of Tampa, Florida, that focuses on the needs of industrial and commercial customers.

The Ideal Candidate will be able to be a front-line employee and interact directly with customers. Service products and equipment from 1-ton mini splits to 50-ton package units, boilers, chillers, control valves, heat exchangers & evaporative coolers on assigned projects, ensuring customer satisfaction by identifying, analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing equipment and systems at the customer’s location.

Qualifications:

Experience is required – at least 5 years of HVAC Service Technician

*We are open to qualified recent graduates from an accredited trade school entering the field of HVAC service and repair and/or having 3 or less years of experience in the field. *

• Must have a Valid Driver's License, Good Driving Record, and EPA license.
• The ability to regularly move, lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Pass Background Check

Job Description:

· Repair new and old heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems

· Conduct HVAC preventative maintenance work as assigned

· Perform maintenance and service equipment at customer locations

· Job site surveys

· Must have personal hand tools – Company tools provided (complete list of tool requirements and tools provided will be supplied)

· Perform complete startup and system checks to ensure proper operation

· Have a solid understanding of all HVAC service practices

· Examine and review HVAC service projects and execute them accordingly

· Must be able to read blueprints

· Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

· Properly fill out all paperwork and turn it in on-time

· Attention to Detail: HVAC systems can be precise mechanisms. Careful observation is needed.

· Maintain cleanliness of assigned company vehicle

· Any other assigned duties as directed by management

· Provide all information from each service call to the dispatcher before leaving the job site and document work by accurately completing paperwork and maintaining file

· Uses cutting-edge software and technology and various hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.

· Expand business by discussing service opportunities with account salespersons.

· Continually enforces safety to the highest standards and maintains security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and conditions.

· Displays team effort and dedication to customers by maintaining flexibility to work overtime, on-call rotation, and weekends as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.

Pay is based on qualifications and skill set.

Pay: $20.00 - $36.00 per hour
