Research and Planning Consultants, LP, was founded in 1972. We provide economic, financial, and public policy analysis that our clients use in litigation and in regulatory proceedings. RPC has an immediate opening for a full-time information technology professional to perform a range of duties. Those duties are:

• Develop and maintain web applications in JavaScript for internal use by RPC consultants. These applications will be used for medical bill analysis and preparation of life care plans, vocational assessments and economic damages analysis. This requires familiarity with Node.js and REACT or similar, SQL, and EXCEL.
• Develop schema and scripts using SQL to prepare large data files for use by the web applications. These data files are updated quarterly or annually.
• Develop and maintain web applications in JavaScript for internal use by RPC management and marketing staff to track case referrals and guide marketing activities.
• Manage RPC Windows servers, networking, and communications. This requires familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 or newer, Exchange, Active Directory, Office365, Fortigate networking equipment or similar small business networking devices, Dell server administration, and Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Supervise existing user help desk staff.

Applicants should describe past experience with application development and IT management. Demonstrated experience as outlined above is more important than academic degrees.

RPC has about 40 staff who need constant access on their workstations and to the RPC network to do their work. All RPC staff have the ability to work from home or office and about half work remotely at all times.

RPC’s office is in Austin, Texas, and it is strongly preferred that the applicant live in Austin and work from the RPC office several days each week and as the duties require.
