Job Title: Information Technology Specialist

Primary Location: 2209 Forest Hills Drive, Suite 19. Harrisburg, Pa 17112.

Level/Grade Type of Position: Full-Time

Hours/Status: 40 hours per week

Position Summary: Provide direct support to users across the organization. This can include helping set up hardware or software, diagnosing connectivity or data access problems, answering questions about hardware or software, and helping users access shared drives and devices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

● Perform routine maintenance or standard repairs to networking components or equipment.

● Test computer software or hardware, using standard diagnostic testing equipment and procedures.

● Troubleshoot network or connectivity problems for users or user groups.

● Provide telephone support related to networking or connectivity issues.

● Train users in procedures related to network applications software or related systems.

● Strong in Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Sharepoint, Azure, Teams, Etc.)

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma required. College coursework preferred. Must have experience in implementing and maintaining networks and utilizing personal computer hardware and software. Ability to recognize, analyze and resolve network problems.

Language Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Computer Skills: Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing communicate by e-mail and use scheduling software. Solid understanding of the full web technology stack (e.g. HTTP, cookies, headers, caching, asset pipelines). Solid understanding of Application Program Interfaces (APIs), Messaging Software, and Interoperability Techniques and Standards.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Physical Demands: The employee is frequently required to stand; walk and sit for long periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.

Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
