The Buffalo Bill Center of the West seeks applicants for the position of Information Technology Technician. This is an on-site position in Cody, WY. Our IT staff does far more than a typical computer and network support, we support the foundation of this dynamic enterprise and collaborate across all our varied disciplines. You will provide solutions to diverse needs using a wide range of technology platforms.

Candidates must have strong communication skills enabling them to work with all our non-technical staff and provide them with the best possible solutions. We are comprised of five diverse museums and a research library, as well as a large physical infrastructure. IT helps bind this large team together with outstanding problem solving.

We are seeking competencies in as many of the following technologies as possible. Don’t worry if you have gaps in your abilities, we will get you trained. We are looking to grow your competencies to match our growing and diverse needs. An eager to learn attitude is crucial.

· Our technology infrastructure is based on Microsoft Windows. Servers and client computers as well as Office365 cloud services.

• Local area networks
• Fundamental cyber security principles
• Data backup and security
• Audio visual systems and control systems

Qualifications

• A degree in an information technology field is a plus.
• One or more years of experience is preferred, and relevant certifications are beneficial.
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Customer service oriented with strong communication skills.
