Summary:
The Tunica-Biloxi Tribe of Louisiana, a federally-recognized Indian tribe in east-central Louisiana, is expanding broadband access to increase digital literacy among its Tribal members. The Tribe is seeking to provide telehealth, remote learning, and job training services to the Tribal Community. Specifically, the Tribe proposes to enhance broadband access and adoption among its underserved members by (a) hiring technology coordinators to provide digital training and to help set up internet-connected computing equipment for Tribal members, (b) providing internet-connected computers and related equipment to Tribal members and serve as the helpdesk. This position Information Technology Technicians will serve as the conduit to achieve these goals. The position is under the direction of the Information Technology Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· The IT Technician will be responsible for installing and troubleshooting computers in the homes of Tribal members.
· The IT Technicians will teach Tribal members how to maximize the use of their computing equipment.
· Assist the Tribe in creating programs to overcome digital literacy in the Tribal community.
· Conduct workshops that will teach attendees how to use computing equipment, navigate the internet, and any other topic the training committee determines will assist Tribal members in becoming more digital literate.
· Establish a helpdesk; respond to inquiries.
· Provide instruction on how to access online resources related to telehealth, remote education, and employment opportunities.
· Responsible for assessing, identifying, and ensuring the technical needs for projects are met.
· Provides oversight of Systems Solutions.
· Serves as the IT Liaison to ensure information and technology planning and management is delivered by the unit and is focused and delivered according to expectations.

Education/Experience:
Three years’ experience or associate degree from an accredited college or
university or college credits hours + experience
Experience in broadband and/or telecommunications industry, or equivalent Information Technology experience, preferred. Experience in grants management required.
Certificates and Licenses:
Louisiana Driver’s License
