Job Description:

Our growing company is looking for an Instructional Design and Copyright Specialist. The Instructional Design Specialist is a member of the Programs Division reporting to the Director of Product and Programs. In this role, you will work in close partnership cross functional departments covering multiple brands to create, develop and manage digital and instructor led curriculum.

Roles and Responsibilities for Instructional Design Specialist:

• Design
• Analyze, refine, and advise on improvements for existing training materials
• Identify and communicate contextual best practices for applying teaching and learning theories to curriculum design
• strategize and collaborate with customer care, warehouse, web, marketing, product and education teams
• Envisions new learning experiences based on audience insights and project goals
• Act as a key stakeholder in the design, launch and maintenance of an LMS system
• Ensure all content is on brand, consistent, and is representative of Healthy Hair Inc guiding principles and core values.
• Develop
• Educational content using a creative writing approach while incorporating critical thinking and design considerations.
• Ensure written curriculum maintains content accuracy and instructional design.
• Continuous Process Improvement – Establish and report on processes that provide continuous improvement, both to the efficiency and results of the education program
• Collaboratively plan, design, develop and revise continuing education online courses and course materials to meet organizational standards.
• Integration
• Adapt technical content into a concise format written for easy absorption and retention.
• Utilize software such as web page development, desktop publishing, image editing and presentation tools to develop custom products to meet user needs
• Prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and adjust quickly to shifting priorities.
• Ability to facilitate, co-facilitate, and provide coaching to facilitators on best practices for delivery using various media as needed
• Manage
• Oversee and manage all curriculum related materials.
• Quality control, proofreading, and distribution of eLearning courses, training PowerPoints, SharePoint sites, and education-related materials.
• Learning Management System and education courses. Evaluates open educational resources and copyright content in course materials
• Maintain and expand face-to-face and online education offerings
• General
• Demonstrate expertise in instructional design, technical communication, and multimedia content development
• Manages the design, development and delivery of adaptive and personalized course content, materials, interactive and multimedia technology-driven components, and other support materials consistent with established design and development processes to ensure flexibility and reusability
• Business Strategy - Serve as a liaison between leadership and the training team to cascade organizational strategies and goals
• Contributes to other learning assignments to advance training and skills development throughout the Healthy Hair Inc. Family of Brands, influencers, and consumer audiences
• Works collaboratively with project team members and field trainers
• Coordinates or assumes other duties and projects as assigned or directed
• Work independently to meet deadlines while coordinating with and soliciting input on materials from subject matter experts

Qualifications for Instructional Design and Copyright Specialist:

• BA/BS in education technology or related field. A degree or certification in Instructional Design, eLearning Development, Technical Communications, or other related field/equivalent professional experience
• Define and implement industry’s best instructional design strategies to support the modernization and progress of the Healthy Hair Inc Family of Brands curriculum.
• Ability to communicate and execute clear, consistent, and applicable learning experiences aligned to organizational goals
• Highly organized with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate successfully with stakeholders throughout the company.
• High proficiency and command of common authoring tools and course development methodologies. Strong proficiency Learning Management Systems, Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Premiere preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and Outlook)
• Strong copywriting and proofreading skills, with astute attention to detail
• Solid project management skills including planning cross-functional work, handling timelines, keeping multiple tasks/projects on track, and working to keep stakeholders advised
• Expertise in instructional design, technical communication, and multimedia content development
• Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to maintain work deadlines and execute work projects efficiently
• Expert in graphic design best practices
• Exceptional storytelling and writing skills
• Proactive solutions-oriented attitude

Compensation and Benefits:

• Job Type: Full-time, In office
• Pay: $60k – 90k annually depending upon experience + bonus opportunity
