Responsibilities:

The position is responsible for the design and development of all training materials for new and existing Corporate and Provider Network Management staff across the enterprise. In addition, the position’s responsibilities will include participating as a team member to assess and recommend process improvements for training. Proactively builds relationships with departments to effectively develop training content and needs assessment.

  • Designs and develops training for multiple modalities, such as face-to-face, blended learning, and eLearning, and creates professional level performance support programs and materials that incorporate innovative learning methods and best practices in adult learning theory.
  • Applies formal instructional design methods (ADDIE) to analyze, design, develop, implement and measure effectiveness of training and development programs.
  • Applies basic knowledge of Adult Learning Theory.
  • Applies instructional design expertise and methodologies to create and update current essential training offerings.
  • Performs official reviews of online courses and other instructional materials and activities, regardless of modality, to recommend revisions that are in accordance with best practices or other standards and the expected learning outcomes.
  • Evaluates and revisions learning outcomes, course modality, high-impact learning practices, and accessibility issues.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively with team members, subject matter experts and all levels of leadership to continually create new, and update and enhance existing, training programs.
  • Works quickly and effectively on multiple projects, organizes and prioritizes work to meet tight deadlines.
  • Responds quickly and positively to ad hoc requests, feedback, scope changes, and a fluctuating and dynamic work environment.
  • Keeps current with new training tools and methodologies, incorporating latest developments to enhance learning and development programs.
  • Stays up to date on current trends in instructional design and applies those to current and future trainings.
  • Develops technical training materials to support classroom and virtual learning, including training handbooks, job aids, models, multimedia visual aids, computer and web-based tutorials, and standard operating procedures.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a learning environment
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in a learning environment with classroom experience preferred.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in eLearning authoring tools (e.g. Articulate 360, Storyline 3, Adobe Captivate, etc).
  • Instructional Design experience with adults in a Managed Care or Health care setting.
  • Strong MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
  • Strong collaboration skills/teamwork
  • Project management skills
  • Advanced interpersonal, listening, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical writing skills.
  • Relationship building skills (w/ business leaders)
  • Up to 25% travel may occur.
