We are looking for a qualified IT Support Technician that will install, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems and networks aiming for reliable functionality and high performance.

A successful IT Support Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks, and be an expert in Windows operating system. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities, good organizational skills, attention to detail, as well as communication skills.

IT Support Technician responsibilities include:

• Setting up computers and necessary peripheral devices (mice, keyboards, monitors)
• Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting network printers
• Assessing computer hardware and software (hard drives, mouses, keyboards, monitors, cables, operating system, applications, drivers, etc.) to ensure full functionality
• Installing and configuring appropriate software and functions according to specifications (Microsoft Office, Printer Drivers, PDF reader, etc.)
• Answering helpdesk calls (phone, text, email, ticketing system feed) and logging requests and responses; resolving reported problems or scheduling repairs/solutions
• Maintain local networks maximizing reliability and performance
• Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
• Provide advice and guidance to users on how to operate computers and software effectively
• Organize and schedule upgrades and maintenance tasks without deterring others from performing their responsibilities
• Troubleshoot systems to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace components, eliminate glitches, resolve software issues, correct user errors, etc.)

Requirements and skills

• Preferred experience as IT Technician or similar position
