The Systems Administrator position supports the design, installation, and protection of all the Company’s computer systems, including working on local area networks, network segments, Internet systems and wide area networks. The Systems Administrator examines and resolves all IT related issues, performs regular routine maintenance, and monitors the networks to ensure everything is running smoothly. The Systems Administrator gathers statistical information and evaluates the Company’s needs to better enhance the performance of the Company.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Independently provides advance level technical interpretation and solutions in the management of networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.
• Spearhead modernization of ‘on-premises’ servers and Windows operating systems.
• Develops and implements strategies for cloud migration where appropriate.
• Develops and maintains security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Protects organization data from threats such as ransomware and phishing attacks.
• Supports end-of-life hardware and software in an onsite manufacturing environment.
• Guides organization in optimal use of office and production productivity tools.
• Modernizes current PC deployment process.
• Performs fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
• Provides project management, recommends new technologies, and addresses technology life cycles.
• Writes and maintains custom scripts to increase system efficiency.
• Performs routine network, server, and desktop maintenance, using alerts and monitoring to ensure system availability.
• Conducts advance hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
• Actively participates in improving processes and systems.
• Ensures that work meets quality standards.
• Consistently meets company set productivity guidelines.
• Consistently follow all safety instructions as outlined in the Associate Safety Manual.
• Adheres to Earnest Products Core Values, policies and procedures as outlined in the Associate Handbook.
• Regular attendance is an essential job requirement to meet company productivity standards.

Qualifications and Education:

• Bachelor's degree or associate degree with minimum 4 years of work experience.
• Considerable experience in Window Server and Active Directory Administration.
• Comprehensive understanding of VLANs on Cisco switches, basic routing, and firewalls.
• Conversant with security best practices and responding to security audits.
• Strong knowledge of and experience in Office 365 Administration.
• Enterprise computer hardware and software applications, especially Word, Excel, Outlook, Power BI, and other O365 applications.
• Experience with storage management, TCP/IP, network monitoring and tools.
• SQL Server Administration (backup/restore, performance troubleshooting) is recommended.
• Experience managing Asterisk from command line is recommended.
• Experience with SolidWorks / EPDM administration is recommended.
• Experience with IIS Administration is recommended.

Working Conditions:

• Office environment where heating and air conditioning are available.
• When visiting the plant, safety glasses are required.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to sit for a long period of time.
• Must have full range of motion and be able to kneel and bend for short periods as task may require.
• Continuous use of your hands, considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, walking, stooping, handling materials and regular keyboard and computer mouse usage.
