IT Systems Administrator provides installation, maintenance and support of computer communications networks. The engineer will work internally as part of organization’ IT support team and externally to provide networking solutions for the organization’ clients.

Essential Functions

• Install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks
• Define, document, and enforce system standards
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problems and outages
• Schedule updates and upgrades
• Documents network problems and resolution for future reference
• Monitor system performance and implement performance tuning
• Manage Office 365 Admin center and its products i.e. SharePoint, Exchange admin center, Outlook, Security and Compliance
• Install, configure, and maintain network services including switches, routers, Layer 3 switches and firewall
• Onboarding/offboarding of employees
• In-house IT support – Hardware and Software
• Manage and support server install, Maintenance and repair; Server 2012 R2, Server 2016, server 2019
• Manage ADFS, DNS, DHCP and SMTP server
• Manage User accounts, permissions, anti-virus and anti-spam policy in On-premise and cloud
• Create and manage Virtual machines for hosting IIS and SQL in windows and Linux
• Manage on-premise servers, Virtual machines and cloud (Azure) backup
• Security documentation and questionnaire experience
• Manage and respond to the network and security monitoring alerts and tools (i.e. PRTG)
• Help and manage improving IT business process and IT awareness among internal users
• Printers and Access point management

Secondary Responsibilities

• Support administration of servers and server clusters
• Organization product application support

Qualifications

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proficient in rack server installation and wiring
• Ability to read and understand schematics and design documentation
• Proficient in cable management for functionality and esthetic purposes
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task
• Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge
• Open to being on call outside of regular working hours
• Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to perform well under pressure
• Have high attention to detail
• Work well independently and in team settings
• Ability to travel 5 - 10 %

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• BA in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years experience with computer hardware installation and repair
• Hands-on experiences implementing and administrating network devices – firewalls, routers, VPN, backup applications and domain
• Experience with Microsoft applications – OS, Databases, and CRM etc.
• Certifications - Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), CompTIA Network+
