JOB DESCRIPTION: IT Support Technician

DEPARTMENT: IT

REPORTS TO: Chief Information Officer

SUPERVISES: No supervisory responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY: Assists in maintaining computer systems, desktops and various software applications. Provides support to end users.

DUTIES:

1. Promote a high level of employee satisfaction through proper telephone techniques, and respond with the appropriate amount of urgency to user problems.

2. Assist in tracking help desk calls pertaining to application, networking, and systems problems and issues.

3. Provide support for Windows 10-11 and MS server 2016/2019 by evaluating and troubleshooting issues.

4. Set up new users, remove users, adjust user rights for the network and applications.
5. Troubleshoot, update and install banking software.
6. Document, track and monitor problems to ensure timely resolution.
7. Identify, research and resolves technical problems.
8. Correct application issues, solve network and security problems and identify common PC software and hardware problems.
9. Provide hardware support of PCs, Laptops and servers, such as installing replacement hardware or upgrading hardware.
10. Support Software/Hardware on equipment such as, firewalls, Virtual Environment,

Scanners, Copiers, Printers, Monitors and other peripherals.
11. Additional duties may be assigned from time to time which are deemed to be within the employee’s capabilities.

Required Skills:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree is preferred.
• 2+ plus experience in similar IT role preferred.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Computer literate and familiar with help desk procedures.
• Knowledge of systems software sufficient to determine if a malfunction is in the hardware or in the software.
• Ability to install and deploy Windows based computers.
• Possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word,

Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds required.
