Jr. Product / Manufacturing Engineer

Onsite – Reynoldsburg OH
Individual contributor position on the NBO- New Business Opportunity team in support the development of new product categories currently not in stores. This team is responsible for the full product cycle from Concept to launching the product in store. This role is responsible for supporting and learning the full engineering life cycle, including, but not limited to technical drawings, fit and function evaluation, manufacturing and validation, tooling, testing procedures, and quality. In addition, this role requires daily project management skills, tracking of milestones, and both internal and vendor communication.

This position will work in a collaborative, cross functional environment with partners in Retail, Merchandising, Logistics, Design, Operations and Global Vendor Management, as well as outside vendors. This role is a great introduction into the business because it covers a broad scope and departments.

Responsibilities, under the direction of Manager: Execution and development of assigned projects, including tactical tasks and system data entry Systems Procedures Execution of the following: Package / R&D Testing, Set up Bill of Materials (BOM’s), Conducting Pilot's and Line Trials, Specifications for Fill and Assembly SOP Standards, Component Sample Requests, Interaction with external component and contract fillers on a tactical level

QUALIFICATIONS: 0-3 years of related experience Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills, ability to multi task and prioritize tasks. Experience in manufacturing and or consumer goods retail is a plus. Ability to present complex information to non technical cross functional associates. System and computer proficiency. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with demonstrated initiative and ability to achieve results. Ability to build and foster strong trusted advisor relationships with internal and external partners

EDUCATION: BS Cosmetic Science, Chemistry or a Engineering Discipline, preferably in Packaging, Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering Relevant internship and or school leadership experience a plus Qualifications.
