Michael Saunders & Company has an immediate opening for a Lead Graphic Designer for our fast paced, marketing department headquartered in downtown Sarasota. This position will give you the opportunity to be creative, and work with a stellar design team. and collaborate in an innovative, energetic, and experienced group of marketing professionals.

In addition to supporting company initiatives, you will make a visual impact for our sales team across multiple platforms, including but not limited to print collateral, digital and traditional promotions, and various advertising media. If you can take a basic idea, a general concept, and an abstract strategy and turn it into a creative success, then this is the position for you. Communication is an essential part of this position, requiring the creative director to feel confident enough to collaborate and contribute to the entire creative process.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to strategize and work well with a small team.
• Collaborate with the salespeople and designers on a co-branded look/template to possibly include a custom logo, complimentary color scheme to the brand.
• Collaborate with the project manager, vendors and salespeople.
• Create flyers, brochures, other marketing materials, wall graphics, etc.
• Monitor and advise on competitive work/branding and strategize, plan and/or implement best practices that fit the business.
• Organize and maintain files for production and distribution.

Experience and Requirements:

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent formal training)
• 2+ years’ experience Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign Strong attention to detail with excellent communication and proofing skills
• Ability to follow established brand guidelines Able to consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work as part of a team and put the team first Able to see projects through from inception to production.
• Consistency regardless of project size Strong organizational skills Motivated to maintain and improve design standards
