Requirements

• Degree: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).

• Education: Graduate from a School of Social Work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

• Experience: Possess a minimum experience of two years within the last three years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

• BLS certification (required)

Duties:

Perform assessments, evaluations, consultations, differential diagnosis, and treatment for all disorders defined by the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (current edition) published by the American Psychiatric Association.

Work closely with clinical staff and/or base personnel regarding patient awareness of mental health wellness programs (addictions, stress management, group therapies).

Provide therapeutic treatment and evaluation of patients in the Family Advocacy Program dealing with domestic violence, physical and sexual abuse, as requested.

Provide patient consultations requested by NHCP staff health care providers within guidelines established by the NHCP.

Provide therapeutic treatment (as applicable) and evaluation of patients with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Combat Stress Disorders and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Conduct collaborative evaluations to facilitate treatment planning for TBI patients.

Provide input to medical board determinations and administrative separations as requested.

Conduct clinical staff education when requested to enhance knowledge, understanding, and awareness of post-traumatic stress disorder, and treatment options for the management of post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury and other combat related disorders.
