Logistics Manager For Christian Ministry Organization

Onsite Position, Monday - Friday, 7-5 time frame working for a Non-Profit faith organization with a mission to Proclaim the Gospel to the Jew First, Grow the Messianic Jewish Community and Engage the Church Concerning Israel and the Jewish People.
Position has 1 direct report + Vendor management.
Pay is between $55-$65K depending on experience.

The IDEAL candidate for this position enjoys having a variety of task work using proactive planning skills toward effective management of shipping, receiving, product purchasing and inventory control. Has a great ability to negotiate with vendors for best pricing as well as naturally analytical using data to make decisions for supply planning as well as general day-to-day activities. Energized to improve and refine processes to be a good steward of the ministry's finances while supporting our partners and the mission of Jewish Voice.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES)

• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in business, marketing, communication or similar degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three to five years of inventory - warehouse management and purchasing experience required
• Proficient in MS Office suite; Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
• Strong organizational skills, project management background and deadline driven work ethic
• Excellent communication skills capable of developing strong collaborative working relationships with team and other department heads
• Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiences including executive management.
• Ability to assess and forecast the needs of the department and proactively make decisions in a changing environment, anticipating future needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

• Monitors inventory levels for all Jewish Voice products; ordering as needed with foresight on upcoming offers and packages.
• Creates purchase orders and oversees the order tracking process ensuring proper inventory levels are maintained.
• Monitors international shipments providing necessary information to vendor as required
• Monitors backorders to ensure products are being shipped quickly and that Partner Services is aware of status of back orders/possible back orders.
• Participates in Virtuous database as a key member of the working group by creating a process for product tracking, Big Commerce, and Dynamics GP.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to work a minimum of a 40-hour workweek, plus additional as required to complete assignments on a timely basis.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while talking on the telephone, using computers for typing and entering data up to 3 – 4 hours at a time.
• Must use 10-key for math calculations as needed
• Must have good communication skills (i.e., communicate clearly and effectively in both written and spoken English).
• Must be able to see with or without corrective lenses;
• Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 30 pounds – maintaining product, files and documentation requires stooping as well as carrying and/or lifting materials.
