POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring all planned maintenance work is effectively coordinated, kitted, and scheduled with respect to labor, skill/trade, materials, documentation, procedures, and safety requirements. Strive to achieve world class maintenance planning and scheduling, which will provide for effective use of personnel, materials, and machine downtime to maintain high levels of production, equipment availability and manufacturing performance. The Planner/Scheduler will facilitate a productive working relationship between Operations and Maintenance. Highly detailed oriented preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Creates planned weekly maintenance work forecasts, working on an effective time horizon, would include outage schedules, list of planned work orders and resource requirements as well as the Daily Work Schedule for crafts.
  • Owns an aspect of safety such as Crane Training or other critical areas.
  • Maintains i-Maint CMMS.
  • Maintains equipment asset inventory, equipment history and Bills of Materials up to date.
  • Maintains and manages maintenance work order backlog.
  • Plans maintenance jobs, with assistance of maintenance personnel, to identify and provide materials, manning and other support needed to complete the required work.
  • Provides kitting requirements for planned work orders which includes verifying parts, prints and procedures are available when work is assigned.
  • Coordinates and some oversight on major maintenance jobs that involve coordination of contractors, multiple parties and/or unplanned outages.
  • Orders necessary parts when needed and/or provides volume information and parts lists to storeroom personnel.
  • Plans manpower and prioritizes craft resources based on Operations, Production Scheduling and Maintenance input.
  • Facilitates a weekly prioritization meeting between Operations and Maintenance and provides project updates.
  • Updates/maintains PM/PDM procedures, frequency and content using I-Maint data and work order/craft feedback with a focus toward improving equipment reliability.
  • Develops, populates and update Asset Bill of Materials.
  • Train Crafts and warehouse personnel in the operation of the i-Maint bar code parts entry. (Following implementation)
  • Reports out on established Maintenance Department metrics.
  • Complies with safety, environmental, and quality requirements established by external and internal regulations.
  • Adheres to general and key job responsibilities as defined in Hollingsworth & Vose ISO 9001 based Business Management System documentation.
  • Available for On Call Responsibilities.
  • Other related duties as assigned or required. These may include minor projects, perform RCAs, and manage specific facilities aspects.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering and or other Engineering degrees preferred.
  • Background knowledge in Maintenance and Reliability preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about manufacturing facilities, systems, and processes.
  • Strong leadership skills, meeting facilitation skills and ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization.
  • Good organizational and communication skills (verbal & written), along with the ability to provide timely, detailed written information needed for effective work scheduling.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Training in reliability practices, disciplines with a strong continuous improvement mindset preferred.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Power point, Project). (1-year minimum experience)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTS

  • Work involves planning and scheduling work, and having the ability to interact with all clients in a professional and friendly manner despite periods of stress.
  • Have the ability to frequently sit at a computer workstation for long periods of time.
  • Have the ability to walk extensively and guide craftsman’s work throughout the industrial plant wearing the appropriate PPE: steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety eyewear and respiratory protection.
  • Have the ability to occasionally lift objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Have the ability to regularly climb roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs and walk elevated catwalks during a shift.
  • Have the stamina to stand and flexibility to stretch/reach, bend/stoop, squat, kneel repetitively during the work day.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
