Job Description :

The Media Manager contributes to the strategic development and profitability of the agency’s media buying team. This role supports the Media Director with P&L responsibility, strategic business recruitment, retention, integration, and service objectives. This individual must be knowledgeable in both the client’s business and the agency business. Working with the Media Director and other senior business leaders, the media manager develops strategic and media decisions formulated by the various operating departments before they are delivered to the client.

The role demands strong verbal and written communications skills; a high degree of adaptability; a capability for analytical thinking; a sense of entrepreneurship; dynamic presentation skills; personal organization; and interpersonal skills. The growth path for the Media Manager is to become the Media Director within a year.

The Media Manager reports to the Media Director. The Media Director reports to the Chief Operating Officer.

Principal Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • A deep understanding of the client’s needs, target industry and the expertise to create strategies and tactics that meet or exceed all KPIs and other client goals.
  • Managing individuals in the Media Department helping to create a path of growth and mentorship within the team and agency
  • Budget control with the keen ability to draft accurate estimates and have fiscal responsibility for all assigned accounts
  • Be an effective steward of resources by ensuring the agency profit objectives are obtained; accounts receivable operations are effective, accurate and timely.
  • Works with the Media Director to recruit, hire and develop best-in-class employees; provide clarity to their roles and provide leadership to ensure their success.
  • Meets with media representatives and accesses media databases to research available options for media placement.
  • Exercises independent judgment in planning and negotiating media space or time.
  • Monitors media agreements and contracts with outside media vendors.
  • Researches and maintains record of trends, innovations, and changes that affect the media buying and advertising industry.
  • An active role in building and growing the agency culture to continue to make GDC a best-in-class organization and an employer of choice.
  • Keep accurate records in a timely manner to reflect correct information in a professional and standardized way.
  • Understands and adheres to all deadlines, timelines and has a commitment to accuracy.
  • Looks for opportunities to grow the agency’s business by looking for new clients and other growth opportunities.
  • Uses strong organizational and time management skills in all aspects of work.
  • Performs all activities with a high level of accuracy and in a timely manner.

Salary and Benefits

Salary is based on years of experience and level of expertise. A competitive benefits package is also offered which includes:

  • Subsidized health insurance for the employee with voluntary optional medical, dental and vision plans at employee’s cost. These health benefits start on the first day of the month following the start date.
  • Life insurance and Long-Term Disability Insurance provided at no cost.
  • 144 hours a year of paid time off and 12 paid holidays a year
  • 401K with a 3% of salary contribution by GDC
  • A one-month paid sabbatical on your fifth anniversary with the agency.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
