As the Manager, Software Engineering, you will manage a team of developers, create technical solutions around business goals, develop solution strategies and motivate and mobilize resources. What you’ll do on a typical day:*

• Build industry-changing applications for multiple business units across the enterprise
• Manage a team of developers and development team leads to build ASP.NET, SQL and mobile applications
• Oversee project timelines, scope and delivery
• Coordinate with business stakeholders on projects
• Monitor performance of individual contributors and help manage their professional development
• Serve as the engineering leader and technical expert answer questions and resolve issues brought forth by the engineering team members

What you need to succeed at RXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• 5 years of development experience
• Experience managing developers spread across the world in different time zones
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve production application issues using APM tools such as NewRelic, AppDynamics or Stackdriver
• Experience in delivering solutions in Google Cloud Platform
• Experience in various datastore technologies SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch and Couchbase
• Experience with Message Broker technologies such as RabbitMQ, Tibco and Kafka
• Design and develop applications using the Microsoft and open-source stack of technologies, including C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, AngularJS, and ELK

It’d be great if you also have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
• Experience implementing software and building processes and tools, including LiquiBase, GitHub, Jira, etc.
• Experience in a startup environment
• Ability to motivate, inspire and drive a team of developers
• Solid time and project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workloads
