Dekko in Garrett is adding a Manufacturing Engineer to the team.

Our Manufacturing Engineers support all activities related to product and process development, cost reductions, and process improvements. Provides input in product costing including equipment and auxiliaries.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work with cross-functional departments in identifying product-manufacturing processes and process improvements (capital initiatives, cost savings, lean activities).
• Responsible for ensuring that product design issues are not compromised as a result of transferring products.
• Responsible for ensuring that all the manufacturing documentation, fixtures, gauges, etc. for products are present and written instructions of proper use are completed.
• Works closely with supporting manufacturing areas to ensure effective communication.
• Ensure quality standardization between manufacturing and plant goals are met.
• Establish templates and methodology for improving processes.
• Provide assistance in achieving developed performance metrics to capture manufacturing activities.
• Provide assistance at ensuring production goals are maintained.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and other team members to ensure that all aspects of the products are being adequately addressed.
• Provide cost savings for processes and product.
• Travel to customer facilities to facilitate appropriate communication as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Very good communication, leadership, problem solving skills and project management skills required.
• Highly desired experience in the following areas - Injection Molding, assembly, metal forming, powder coating and electrical systems
• Knowledge of Autocad, Solidworks, MS Office and Value Stream Mapping preferred.
• Strong technical writing skills required.
• Travel less than 10%.
• Experience leading lean events preferred

Education, Certificates & or Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Internship experience in a Manufacturing setting a plus
