Since 1978, we offer premier vacation rentals on Hatteras Island ranging from single-family beach cottages to expansive oceanfront estates with a wide range of luxury amenities. Each year, we serve thousands of happy Outer Banks vacationers.

Summary

Surf or Sound Realty is looking to hire a marketing coordinator with outstanding organizational and design skills for our Salvo, NC office. The marketing coordinator will have excellent communication and time management skills.

To ensure success, the Marketing Coordinator will be detail-oriented and have a solid understanding of marketing techniques with a keen interest in providing a consistent brand voice across all marketing activities to specific audiences. Top candidates will exhibit critical thinking skills, strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Essential Functions

• Implement marketing plans that include online content for photos and floorplans.
• Manage and catalog assets leveraging a digital asset management platform.
• Write and design content for online and offline materials.
• Utilize tracking systems for projects and events to ensure timely execution of tasks.
• Conduct website audits to ensure accuracy of content.
• Traffic all advertising efforts to appropriate channels.
• Manage print contractors and other promotional vendors.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite programs, including Photoshop, Lightroom, and InDesign.
• Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies.
• Expert knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS).
• Solid organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Be independent and have initiative to start and complete projects with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Creative mind with superb written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, or Business preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in content management, writing and advertising concepts.
• CRM and CMS experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Physical Requirements

Physical activities may include climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive motions. Employee must have the ability lift up to 20 pounds frequently.

Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily inside but you will be subject to various types of weather.

Background check, drug screen and references required.
