The preference is for this candidate to be near either of Heartland’s engineering offices in Madison, Wisconsin, Nashville TN or in the Company’s headquarters in Hudson, MA could work from any of these location.

What you’ll be doing:

The Mechanical Designer will work as part of the Mechanical Engineering team and be responsible for producing 3D model designs in Solidworks, complete fabrication and construction drawings, and other detailed layout and arrangement drawings. Any candidate must have a strong background in fabricated equipment skid construction, mechanical systems, piping layout, and metal welding and assembly techniques.

Skills and Requirements:

• Proven experience & proficiency in Solidworks 3D modeling and precise fabrication & assembly drawings.
• Proficiency in Autocad LT and Autocad 2D drawings creation.
• Ability to understand complex 3D layouts and piping routes
• Understanding of metal fabrication techniques for building steel structures, metal cabinets, piping supports, walkways, ladders & platforms.
• Experience with ANSI, ASME and ASTM parts, fittings, and flanges.
• Minimum 5 years job related experience preferably in wastewater, chemical, pharmaceutical or other process industry.
• Prefer a Mechanical Engineering degree
• Ability to work on a team with multiple skillsets and communicate effectively in a remote work environment
• Proficiency with MS Teams, cloud based storage apps, and good overall computer skills
• Must be able to perform the essential job functions including: climbing ladders and steps, lifting up to 50 pounds, extensive walking in outdoor surfaces, and working on outdoor conditions year-round.
• Occasional travel to project sites, fabrication facilities or company team meetings may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required. Must be eligible to work in the United States

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
