The Mechanical Engineer will perform a wide range of tasks related to the design, manufacture, and testing of vibration control systems and optical tables. The successful applicant will assist with every stage of the product lifecycle, and should expect to spend roughly equal amounts of time in the office and on the production floor. They will work closely both with our management team and with our manufacturing and assembly technicians to help us to continuously improve workplace safety, product quality, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required:

o B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

o Ability to create CAD models and drawings in AutoCAD/Inventor.

o Understanding of tolerances and fits.

o Proficiency with hand measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers and various gauges.

Preferred:

o Ability to create CNC programs using Mastercam.

o Knowledge of principles of vibration isolation.

o Understanding of manufacturing processes including CNC, machining, welding, and quality control.

o Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and/or inspection.

o Ability to switch easily between different tasks.
