Job Title: Mechanical/Optical Engineer

Reports To: Engineering Manager

Job Summary:

Dajac, Inc. is looking for an ambitious engineer to assist development of products. Primary duties will be focused on mechanical and optical design in our Light Processing and Automation divisions.

This is a great position for an energetic engineer with many opportunities in a wide range of interesting projects. Be a part of developing leading edge technology in vehicle exterior lighting inspection.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Design mechanical and optics systems and components.
• Create 3D models and drawings in CAD.
• Communicate with management.
• Interact with product management to assist with product feature definition and to ensure specified features are implemented as intended.
• Technical communication with vendors.
• Assist with manpower estimates.
• Travel roughly 5% of the year to support projects onsite.
• The above list of duties is not an exhaustive list. Other duties, logically associated with the position, may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Mechanical design skills.
• Proficient in geometry. This is sufficient for everything we do involving optics.
• Mechanical CAD, including 3D modeling.
• Optics design knowledge is advantageous, but not required.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Communicate effectively, in writing and verbally.

Work Environment:

• Must be willing to relocate within 60 miles of Dajac’s corporate office.
• Team Member will work at the corporate office a majority of the time, but some travel may be necessary.

Education and Work Experience:

• Typically, Mechanical Engineering majors are the best fit for this position.

Other Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a car.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
