Requirements

· Current MA Certification & State License

· Completion of current accredited Medical Assistant Program, or comparable medical office experience and training.

· Prefer one-year experience working with serious substance abused population.

Job Duties

· Prepare/administer/document dictations within outpatient setting

· Meds verified 3x prior to administration, label, document required by federal/state legislation, and matches order

· Observe client taking meds; never leave unattended or meds left with client

· Document meds administered Medication Administration Record (MAR)/when med is not taken/refused, noting reason

· Document cause of prn meds, regularly scheduled meds; report unusual symptoms to supervisor. Complete incident report for adverse meds reactions/errors

· Record vital signs before, during/after administration of meds

· Knowledge of terms, abbreviations/symbols related to meds/administration

· Store meds/maintain security with current federal/state regulations

· Adhere to state/federal, facility rules pertaining to maintenance/disposal of meds

· Observe client/residents’ rights related to medication administration

· Room clients, take vitals, and track BMI

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.96 - $25.28 per hour
