We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Non-profit Director of Finance in San Diego, California to join our team. As the Non-profit Director of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of our organization, working closely with our leadership team to ensure our financial stability and growth.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage annual company budget, program budgets, and ad hoc budgets as needed.
Review and analyze financial statements monthly for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure monthly account reconciliations and general ledger integrity.
Present monthly financial package, including executive summary, to the Board of Directors.
Conduct ad hoc analysis as needed.
Serve as the primary liaison for all audits.
Work with external auditors and provide necessary documents, records, and analysis for annual audit and Form 990 completion.
Work with various State and Federal agencies when program audits are requested.
Record revenue and expenses in compliance with various program regulations.
Monitor and manage cash balances, endowment fund, and credit card activity.
Provide compliance items for lenders, including budgets, reports, and other requests.
Lead and motivate finance team.
Requirements:
5+ of previous accounting experience desirable, preferably 3+ in a lead role capacity.
Non-profit experience is required.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and related work experience required.
Must have knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, audits, cost allocation, budgets, and general ledger accounts.
Above-average ability with Excel, experience with MIP, or demonstrate the ability to work with multiple software applications and vendor/partner websites.
Excellent communication skills to interact with agency employees at all levels in a personal and professional manner.
Maintain confidentiality in dealing with various agency accounts.
Analytical ability required in handling various legal governmental forms related to payroll, workers’ compensation, and SUI reports.
