Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient’s functional status and home environment
• Identify equipment needs and participate in the development of the total plan of care
• Develop treatment program and establish goals for improved function
• Teach new skills, retrain in once familiar daily activity skills, fabricate splints, train in use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices
• Maintain appropriate clinical records and communication with other personnel involved in patient’s care
• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants according to organization policy and state regulations
• Participate in discharge planning
• Participate in case conference as required
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
• Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an occupational therapist education program accredited by ACOTE with current licensure to practice in state of operation
• 2+ years occupational therapy experience
• Home health experience preferred
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence
