Job Description:
Operations Manager is responsible for the daily activities of modernization, maintenance and repair operations. The Manager will assist in clear and effective communication with customers, estimating jobs, allocating manpower and improving the profitability of modernization, maintenance and repair jobs.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
· Ensures that the branch’s daily operations run efficiently and cost effectively. Includes reviewing and performing repair survey requests, ensuring repair booked status, scheduling repairs, completing requisitions for materials, and reviewing manpower needs.
· Visits job sites and performs quality audits to ensure that route work is being completed efficiently and, in a cost-effective manner, Identify issues that could potentially affect the overall reliability of customer’s equipment.
· Maintains a strong working knowledge of the overall market area, including sales backlog, service and repair volume and market penetration.
· Make necessary changes to improve profitability Provide technical input to sales staff on the scope of work and materials needed to bid repair work. Includes calculating labor and material costs.
· Plans for the company’s financial future, financing needs, future profitability, etc.
· Ensures that the assets of the company are adequately safeguarded from loss
· Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all federal, state and local elevator industry code requirements Maintains strong familiarity of industry products by reviewing equipment updates and supplier goods Administer parts program for contract service and repair to meet budget expectations and customer satisfaction.
· Manages elevator work process and ensures modernizations, maintenance and repairs are completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills Thorough knowledge of the elevator industry and general management methods within the elevator industry Bachelor's degree (only to be substituted with extensive industry and management experience); or two years' experience managing on a branch departmental level; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to define problems collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

Salary Range: 100-120k Annual starting Salary DOE
