Job Description :

The Operations Support Associate shares responsibility for inventory management throughout the factory and will perform daily cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. They will be charged with documenting the results of this work to a high degree of accuracy within an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software system. This position will also perform tasks in support of continuous improvement projects and production planning. This position reports to the Senior Operations Manager at Shoemaker Manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cycle counts and adjust inventories on a revolving list of items throughout the facility.
  • Investigate & address inventory discrepancies.
  • Perform detailed, efficient, and accurate data entry.
  • Work as a team with Production, Shipping and Order Fulfillment to investigate and locate misplaced inventory.
  • Approve inventory adjustments up to prescribed value and quantity thresholds.
  • Support team with process improvement projects and stocking strategy.
  • Help identify and recommend improvements to prevent inventory variances.
  • Assists with factory work order management process and capacity planning.
  • Build product route and bill of materials for new items in ERP system.
  • Continuously improve production time standards.
  • Operates forklift as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as directed.

Working environment

  • Prolonged periods working on feet and performing actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
  • Able to lift 30-40 lbs. regularly.

Education and Experience

  • Associates degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field, OR
  • 3 or more years’ experience in a position responsible for inventory.
  • LEAN Knowledge is preferred, but not required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills for maintaining inventory logs and databases.
  • Must have very high-quality standards and degree of accuracy and organizational skills
  • Solid work history that demonstrates reliability and ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Adaptable and easily adjusts to changing work conditions with a positive attitude.
  • Develops and maintains positive work relationships with both management and co-workers.
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to problem solve and think independently.
  • Receptive to coaching and utilizes critical feedback to grow skills.
  • Ability to use 2-way radio.
  • Ability to conduct Time Studies.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
