Job purpose

Under supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and Clinical Director, work with children, adolescents, adults, groups, and the community in providing general mental health and substance abuse counseling to children, adolescents and adult population with empathy, ethics and compassion for the community being serviced, as well as in compliance with ADHS, contracted providers and agency policy and standards.

Duties and responsibilities

• Provide general mental health and substance abuse counseling to include assessments, individual, family and group counseling to children, adolescents, and adults at our Metro and Greenway locations.
• Coordinate care with prescriber for clients receiving medications.
• Coordinate services and needs with Primary Care Physician.
• Accurately document progress notes on the same day of service/within 24 hours.
• Maintain Spreadsheet for Substance Abuse groups.
• Generate and produce monthly reports for contracted programs as required.
• Monitor, evaluate and document client treatment progress.
• Ability to gather resources as needed to fit the client’s needs.
• Document using electronic health records.
• Maintain an active caseload to ensure compliance and productivity.
• Provide fully integrated care to clients.
• Provide general mental health and substance abuse counseling and therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and adults in keeping with current, professional practice standards and ethics.
• Produce documentation, which includes but is not limited to comprehensive assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, monthly reports, and daily logs, which much meet all required timelines.
• Complete documentation for the Agency continuing education and training which meets requirements for the Arizona Behavioral Health Licensure and compliance requirements for Arizona State Board of Behavioral Health Examiners and agency requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or other related fields.
• Licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners, or eligible for licensure (strongly preferred)
• Experience in a clinical setting
• Work with children, adolescents, and adults
• Valid Driver’s License with proof of insurance
• Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Valid CPR and first aid certification
• Must possess basic computer skills
• Knowledge of electronic medical records
• Ability to effectively use the DSM V for diagnosing
• Must have the ability to conduct clear and understandable written and oral communication
• Must be willing to see a wide range of patients that include children, adolesents, adults.

Working conditions

Office Environment, critical deadlines, Paperwork, and may experience difficult clients. Worked to be performed at twi sites: 10220 N. 31st Avenue, Phoenix, AZ 85051 and 3342 E. Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85032. Remote work possibly after 90-day probationary period.

Physical requirements

Pay: $50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
