PROGRAM & POSITION SUMMARY:
The Center for Immigration Legal & Support Services (CILSS) advances racial, gender, and economic equity
:through high-quality, multi-year legal representation and focused case management. With CILSS’ culturally sensitive support, first and future generations are able to break through systemic barriers, achieve their aspirations, and become full participants in the social, civic, and economic fabric of our community.
The Administrative Assistant will provide coordination, direct assistance and follow-up to low-income clients with needs related to immigration legal services. This position is primarily responsible for administrative support, maintaining oversight of the facility, monitoring the front desk and support the program with mail processing, data entry, client intakes, and fee reconciliation. In addition, the AA will provide information and referrals to walk-ins or general public, among other tasks as assigned.

This position will be based out of our San Francisco office located at 2873 Mission Street, San Francisco 94110 (within 1 block of the 24th Street BART station)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Front Desk duties as well as telephone inquires.
- Returns client calls and schedule appointments as appropriate.
- Processes mail, including data input into LawLogix (LLX);
- Provides accurate information/referrals to clients with other needs that could be met by our Agency or by other community organizations.
- Maintains inventory system and ordering office supplies, and program supplies.
- Liaiasons with CILSS Operations Manager re: building maintenance issues.
- Assists with organization and preparation for weekly immigration workshop.
- Assists with collection and deposit of fees for services.
- Assists immigration counselors on current cases and fill out USCIS forms.
- Maintain database systems inclusive of donor, volunteer, and client databases.
- Generate reports as assigned.
- Compile and maintain program database and spreadsheets.
- Assist with development activities including fundraisers, and mass mailings.
- Monitor statistical program progress and draft program reports for funders.
- Assist in preparation of proposals, grants, and program materials.
- Assist in preparation of government contracts and budgets
- Generate monthly and quarterly reports in coordination with the program staff.

Education & Experience:::
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience directly related to the job qualifications will be considered in lieu of a degree.

- Serves on monthly committee for Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) committee.
- Serves on Performance and Quality Improvement PQI Committee responsible for monitoring goals and reporting.
