Schedule

• Monday-Friday (8:30am-5:00pm) no weekends or holidays
• Available to Interview/Start Quickly
• Temporary or Contract Role lasting 12+ weeks (potential for Full Time Hire at the Facility)

Required

• Pennsylvania Pharmacy License in Good Standing
• Outpatient retail in a hospital / meds-to-beds setting experience preferred.
• Vaccination license up to date and actual experience vaccinating patients (including pediatric patients).
• Overall: A go-getter, motivated, able to multi task, strong customer service background, able to speak with others, patients, departments etc - really strong friendly communicator.

Job Duties

• Reviews computerized, written and telephone physician medication orders accurately. Interprets and checks for drug allergies, correct dosages, drug interactions, polypharmacy, etc. Corrects and/or clarifies any ambiguous, incomplete, or erroneous orders by direct communication with the physician. Informs physician of nonformulary and restricted items as they are ordered and recommends appropriate substitution.
• Demonstrates the ability to cover all areas of the pharmacy, including inpatient, outpatient, mobile pharmacy carts, other areas.
• Responsible for participation in all drug utilization evaluations and quality assurance monitors, performing clinical interventions, participating in interdisciplinary rounds, and monitoring patient medication therapies

Pay: $53.00 - $58.00 per hour
