Job Description :

Modern Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine is a fast-growing multidisciplinary group that integrates non-surgical orthopedic medical services with traditional physical therapy. We have onsite imaging including digital x-ray and MSK Ultrasonography plus procedure suites including C-Arms for fluoroscopy imaging and needle guidance. Procedures include image guided joint, tendon, and muscle injections with medication than includes, but is not limited to, Visco-Supplementation and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). In addition, we offer orthopedic bracing to qualified patients.

This is a directorship-level role including the responsibility to operate your own independent sports-oriented treatment center with a multidisciplinary team of physical therapists, athletic trainers, rehab technicians, radiology technicians, and other staff. Our company provides a residency-type program for MSK Ultrasound and Flouro-guided procedure training and diagnostic assessment of injury using MSK Ultrasound. We also integrate with interventional radiologists, primary care, and podiatry physicians as part of our multidisciplinary team.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be in good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
  • Five (5) years’ experience in orthopedics/sports medicine - preferred.
  • Proven working experience evaluating, diagnosing and treating a variety of non-operative sports medicine/orthopedic related injuries and conditions.
  • Must be efficient in joint injections, tendon injections and trigger point injections.
  • MSK Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy guided injection skills preferred but will train the right candidate.
  • Some phlebotomy skills required.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated competency dealing with all age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR software programs.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic and leadership skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, diagnose and treat nonoperative orthopedic/sports medicine injuries and conditions.
  • Perform fluoroscopy guided and/or MSK US guided injection procedures.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-rays/MRI).
  • Order and dispense appropriate DME.
  • Some phlebotomy skills.
  • Prescribe medications to the extent allowable by state guidelines and clinic regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with Physical Therapy team regarding appropriate medical plan of care.
  • Daily meetings with clinic team regarding patient care.
  • Complete daily patient charts.
  • Review daily Physical Therapy notes.
  • No call. No Weekends.
