Position Summary

This position will independently diagnose, repair, maintain and install medium-sized and more complex commercial mechanical systems and/or equipment. Works with various types of tools, gauges, measuring equipment under guidance from a service supervisor. Reports to a Service Manager.

Licensed Plumber Responsibilities:

• Licensed Plumber will install plumbing systems by assembling, positioning, and sealing valves, pipe fittings, and pipes.
• Diagnoses HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing and/or electrical system performance through observation, testing, and setup.
• Repair and maintain plumbing systems by replacing washers, mending burst pipes; opening clogged drains.
• Comply with federal, state, and local building and plumbing codes by enforcing adherence to requirements.
• Provide plumbing information to customers by answering questions and requests.
• Complete work orders and documents as needed to conform to customer invoicing requirements.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Willing to learn and follow the CEC method of procedure and true believer in safety.
• Rotation on call and weekends.

Licensed Plumber Qualifications:

• Master, Journeyman or Tradesman License with the Texas State Board of Plumbing
• 5 year minimum of commercial plumbing experience required
• Good driving record and current valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent work ethic and leadership skills
• Works well with a team of coworkers
• Being genuine and personable is a must!
• Exceptional Plumber and represents Company in a professional manner

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position requires working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain. Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses always), respirator when required. Able to work 8 -10 hours per day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts. Includes crawling, standing, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, sitting, reaching, constantly moving about on the feet and able to routinely lift heavy objects more than 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of objects is required. Repetitive use of arms, hands and fingers. Must be able to complete a full day of assignments involving overhead work. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of the job. Possess good vision, normal or corrected and positively identify different colors of wiring. Works in single and multi-story buildings with all exposures typical of a heavy construction site, including portable sanitary facilities.
