Principal Systems Engineer – Associate IT

The Role

Fidelity's Associate IT is looking for an innovative individual who wants to deliver transformative IT services. We are a dynamic group of professionals looking to leverage modern technologies to rapidly improve the efficiency and experience of Fidelity's associates. We are working in continuous alignment across multiple IT areas to change the way our associates work and collaborate.

The ideal candidate will be able to translate System Engineering infrastructure requirements into automated and/or orchestrated solutions that can be used at scale and reduce administrative overhead. You will work closely with Product Managers, Team Leads, System Analysts and Systems Engineers to develop requirements, design and implement solutions.

The Expertise We are Looking for:

• Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-wide products and solutions
• Strong understanding of End User Computing technologies including and not limited to end user devices/platform and cloud technologies
• Full stack software engineering with 5+ years of experience
• Experience working with public cloud providers (e.g., Azure, AWS)
• Experience working with Systems Engineering teams to build and deliver solutions
• Focus on using a long-term mentality to help produce scalable, maintainable solutions
• Ability to operate in a self-managed role
• Familiar with Agile Methodologies preferred
• Incorporate software development best practices from across the enterprise
• Interested in developing relationships with other Software Engineers in the company to align with best practices, tooling, etc.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Committed to collaboration and transparency in your work
• Partner with the engineering and architecture team to provide strategic analysis, thought leadership, and development of multi-year roadmaps and measures that ensure technology evolution and improvement over time.
• Strong presentation and writing skills

The Skills you Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience planning, engineering, designing & delivering enterprise systems
• Proven track record of success in engineering, developing, and delivering solutions for enterprise systems
• Deep knowledge of and extensive experience with Microsoft’s enterprise platform.
• Demonstrated leadership in developing and propagating best practices for management of enterprise systems through the full lifecycle from planning to retirement

Technology Skills:

• Desktop Virtualization: Azure Compute, Citrix XenDesktop / XenApp, VMware ESX
• OS Platform: Windows 10 and Image Management processes
• Identity / Security Fundamentals
• Networking / Data Center Fundamentals
• Automation / Scripting: PowerShell, Python, C#
