Product Development/Sourcing Manager

Pro-Mart is proud to be one of the top innovators for home storage organization for 50 years now. We are among the top leaders in design for home storage and organization products within mass merchants, clubs and retail chains nationwide. Our product line is undergoing a hyper growth with the launch of product lines.

This position reports to and works directly under the VP Operations to act as main contact between the Company and overseas vendors (including China) for all aspects of sourcing, product development, merchandising, negotiating and troubleshooting in general including but not limited to the following:

• Plan and coordinate the development of new products, from concept to final approved product with hands-on sample development
• Work with overseas vendors to counter source & negotiate to achieve corporate target margins for all applicable categories
• Schedule, monitor, and coordinate new sample development process from concept to market launch
• Daily communication with factories in China for the development and request of new samples
• Skillfully source and find the right factories for products in all aspects pertaining to quality, price and reliability including price, timeline and term negotiations
• Evaluate and report new factory that meet the above criteria
• Detailed checking of samples and discussing new developing products with factories

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years experience with product development and global sourcing
• Knowledge of non-electric, non-food consumer products
• Highly organized
• Excellent PC computer skills, fully efficient in MS Office Suite including Teams, Excel, PowerPoint

Salary is commensurate with product development and global sourcing experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
