Product Manager/Owner, Aon Growth Ventures Strategic Initiatives

What will I do in this role?
In this role you will have visibility to evaluate, build, and launch!
Work with the AGV and Solution Development leadership to lead the solution development process with excellence
Support the development of the initial value proposition, product, and execution plan for new innovation concepts. Work in partnership with authorities across Aon as well as clients and AGV partners
Lead-cross functional teams and collaborate across Aon, with clients, and various partners to drive potential solutions from MVP to scalable product
Develop, scope, test, and launch new products prioritized based on client needs and product vision
Manage end-to-end procedures and deadlines to drive a streamlined and agile solution development process
Pioneer new thinking, tools and techniques to enable Aon to deliver higher value, scalable client solutions
Contribute to the development of Aon Growth Venture’s product management cohort by adopting a mentorship mindset and proactively refining our solution methodologies
Engage in and lead product design, pilot, and launch:
Partner with the AGV Solution Development Leader and Growth Accelerator Leader to drive the development of MVPs from pilot to scale through a client-centric and iterative approach to solution innovation and launch
Support ongoing discovery and feedback sessions with partners to develop a deep understanding of their key strategic challenges, and reactions to potential solutions as products are built and refined Promote product management best practices and serve as the primary point of contact for product delivery teams Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, brokerage, operations, sales, marketing, legal and other internal teams over Create and own workplans including checkpoints, timelines, and financial/resource needs Support marketing strategy and planning aligned to business priorities and growth outcomes Consolidate global product metrics into concise reports to demonstrate product growth, revenue, & KPIs
Facilitate the execution of initiatives with key clients and Aon collaborators
Characteristics of an Ideal Candidate:
Strong interpersonal skills combined with relationship building with colleagues, partners, clients and industry experts. Mastery of key product management concepts. Strong ability to translate product ideas and concepts into tactical execution plans. Strong quantitative and qualitative abilities. Experience building and managing cross-functional teams to support product development. Eagerness to learn and resolve issues that surface. Attention to detail with focus on leading all aspects of analytical work. Take on additional responsibility and to work more efficiently. Project management skills. Desire and skill to work efficiently in an Agile environment. Ability to perform well on multiple work streams with tight deliverables. A desire to work in a highly collaborative team environment. Ability to harness and embrace ambiguity into a self-starting attitude.
Experience:
8 or more years of product design/build/management experience
Track record of role success with growing levels of responsibility
Achieved leadership and success in product design and management to stakeholders and leading teams to deliver projects and meet timeline and business requirements
Strong ability to “think on the fly” to define and build strategy
Validated expertise in product design, build, and launch
Proficiency using Excel and PowerPoint skills
Attention to detail and critical eye in leading aspects of work by analysts
Experience and a desire to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
Strong written and verbal communication
Open to travel (typically less than 20%) and work internationally
Bachelor’s degree
MBA a plus
