JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of the Program Manager for Data Analytics is to collaborate and manage an occupancy sensor program focused solution that provides business intelligence and real estate data analysis through the use of data warehousing, visualization, and examination. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting financial clients in optimizing their operations across all service lines: facilities management, project management, finance, portfolio administration, and cost forecasting.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing data modelling, data manipulation, aggregation and analysis of quantitative data; forecast and trending of performance data to derive actionable intelligence using programming languages and data visualization tools
  • Will participate in the whole cycle of dashboard and analytics development from understanding Clients' needs through data sourcing, development of dashboards and analytics in Business Intelligence software to hyper care and on-going support after the delivery
  • Contributing to the implementation of agile methodology of analytics and reporting development
  • Assuring data integrity and effective reports validation
  • Responsible for communicating with various stakeholders, such as: Clients, other analysts, platform developers, project managers, etc.
  • Participates in technology focused or technology influenced strategic plan formulation. Owns success of custom programming and Power BI (Business Intelligence) design, implementation, business acceptance and system effectiveness.
  • Informs and keeps senior/executive management abreast of technology projects, policies and/or issues. Works with all business owners to communicate progress and expectations to the organization.
  • Facilitates regular meetings to review project status for active and pending projects (project pipeline). Collaborates with core team to develop solutions and leads project team through implementation and completion.
  • Responsible for reporting status of individual and groups of projects and programs. Provides appropriate levels of detail, and summarizes complex issues succinctly.
  • Manages internal and external relationships in support of program. May contract and manage vendors. May provide consultation on complex low to medium scale projects that integrate into an organized program.
  • Creates, maintains & distributes routine PMO reports, including status reports and updated Gantt charts.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from 4-year college or university.
  • Minimum four years of experience in a combination of project management role and data analytics role, must have the both the data analytics background as well as the project management skills.
  • Experience with data management, manipulation, and analysis skills
  • Experience in working with data warehouses, data marts as data sources
  • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex data sets
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new tools, systems and processes quickly
  • Attention to details with a strong focus on accuracy, data validation and data integrity
  • Proven skills in communicating with stakeholders to gain requirements and gather information
  • Create, maintain and optimize data visualizations and dashboards (in Tableau, Power BI, Dash, etc.)
  • Expert level usage of products such as: Tableau, SharePoint, and Power BI
  • Presentation skills to a variety of different audiences (both internal and external)
  • Organized, able to work independently and effectively manage workload
  • Highly self-motivated, flexible, collaborative, creative thinker and a problem-solver

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

PgMP (Program Management Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certifications preferred.



COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires advanced knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts advanced financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

Strong process skills, negotiating, decision-making and analytical skills are necessary. Demonstrated ability in project management processes, tools and techniques.

Ability to build and maintain effective professional/client relationships.

Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite including MS Project.

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
