The Project Engineer’s objective will be to assist Program Management, Quality, and Process Engineering to ensure timely and effective launches of new programs and engineering changes.

Responsibilities will include:

• To manage new product tooling programs, current production program Engineering changes, and supervise tooling try-outs and sample preparation for submission to customers.
• To analyze and implement on-going process improvements to improve production efficiencies and product quality.
• To lead VA / VE (value added – value engineering) activities initiated by customer or internal team.
• To assist Quality and Production departments in troubleshooting and problem analysis in conjunction with any issues of quality or production efficiency.
• Participate and/or lead in cell layout for new programs.
• Participate and/or lead in prototype builds to the customer.
• Work with and assist in the design and development of components/parts related to the facilities operation.
• Take customer engineering and design concepts or ideas and incorporate them into a feasible design to fit the company’s needs.
• In conjunction with Sales staff, provide support and liaison with Customer’s Engineering and Design personnel if necessary.
• To prepare Product and Process feasibility studies and all other documentation required supporting customer expectations.
• Other tasks as given by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must be willing to travel, possibly overnight.
• Excellent computer skills: Windows, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, CAD.
• Safety oriented
• Excellent planning, organizing, problem solving, and time management skills.
• Able to work alone and in a team environment.
