Healthcare Realty Trust (NYSE:HR) is a real estate investment trust that owns, manages and develops medical real estate throughout the country. We are focused on long term ownership and offer a stable, team oriented and busy working environment. We are recruiting for a Project Manager based in Dallas for our Texas portfolio. This position will oversee tenant improvement and capital projects and requires frequent travel (30-40%).

We are looking for candidates with:


  • A Bachelor's degree in either Architect, Engineering or Construction"“related fields or 15+ years equivalent experience in Commercial construction in a construction project management role
  • 5+ years of direct experience in tenant improvement project management
  • Experience in pre-construction services including cost estimating and scheduling
  • Experience in design and construction management of medical office (not required, but a strong plus);
  • Strong communication skills, in many cases the ability to communicate with C suite executives clearly and accurately
  • Highly effective organizational and time management skills
  • Team-player approach to work and ability to work with all members of the building engineering, leasing, management and administrative teams.
  • The ability to run multiple projects simultaneously with various different contractors and design teams
  • Experience in schedule and cost reporting through various channels, experience in programs such as Sales force is a plus (not required)
  • The ability to comprehend complex contractual agreements including leases and construction/design contracts

This position is responsible for the following:

  • Overseeing the design and construction of all aspects of client construction improvements, including but not limited to coordinating, managing and contracting the design and construction team. The individual will also manage and oversee the preliminary design meetings, ongoing design thru permitting, construction bidding and review and construction management.
  • Provide preconstruction services including preliminary pricing and high level schedules
  • Establish, manage and monitor scope of work, project budgets and schedules.
  • Act as a liaison between the tenant and each design and construction team.
  • Oversee and manage structural related capital improvement projects,
  • Working with management team to create best practices for the tenant design and construction process.
  • Update and issue reporting on cost and schedules as determined by manager including project billing, change order approvals and overall project related financial reporting.
