JOB SUMMARY
Plan, quote, budget, oversee and document all aspects of specific company projects while ensuring that the scope and direction of each project is on schedule.
ESSENTIALS JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop pricing estimates for prospective new products, as well as for existing products, as needed.
· Create Routing Steps on the Traveler and order necessary material for job.
· Ensure that the design meets customer and JDM expectations.
· Meet with the President and Department Leads twice weekly or as needed to discuss tooling design, problems, and new tool schedule.
· Work with all employees to collaborate and solve fabrication, tooling and shop wide problems. Provide leadership and direction to all personnel in various areas.
· Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively, work under pressure and time deadlines.
· Assist in the implementation and continued maintenance of Quality Control and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
· Perform any and all duties and/or responsibilities necessary for the smooth operation of the purchasing and master scheduling functions at JDM.
· Control inventory levels of purchased materials and components.
· Maintain adequate records of purchasing activity.
· Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information.
· Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Ability to interpret engineering component drawings.
Strong math skills, numbers aptitude, and a knowledge of geometry sufficient to accurately calculate component volumes from engineering drawings.
Skilled in PC usage and associated software including but not limited to Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong organization and time management skills for balancing multiple priorities while maintaining project timelines.
Excellent communication skills: interpersonal, listening, oral and written.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to sit for extended periods of time with the additional ability to concentrate for extended periods of time paying close attention to detail. Also walking, standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting and carrying tooling weighing up to 50 lbs. Frequent mental and visual concentration required for computer usage, tool building and product developments. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
