Engineering Project Manager Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Understand and clearly communicate various technical topics in multiple ways depending on the audience (management, engineers, salespersons, lawyers, consumers, suppliers domestic and international).
• Understanding of Microprocessor Function and Application
• Electronics Testing and Evaluation
• Current Product Management: Product Improvement, Change Management,
• New Product Development: Development with and/or coordinating both existing and potential suppliers, Concept Development, Proof-of-Concept, Specification Writing, Prototype Creation/Evaluation, Final Product Validation, Production Readiness
• Supplier Management: Project Coordination & Communication, Supplier Visits
• Agency Compliance: Product Certification, Initial and Maintenance,
• Technical Committees: CSA, FCC/IC, UL, Intertek
• Quality Support: Coordination to Create Test Procedures, Test Fixture Design - Installation, Test Fixture Maintenance Support, Field Incident Investigation
• Tech Service Support: Advanced Consumer and OEM troubleshooting
• Sales Support: Application Engineering, Custom Product Development, Sourcing
• Production Support: Production Fixture Design & Installation, Coordination to Create Production Procedures and Practices

Engineering Project Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Computer Science
• 2+ years experience with electronics including microprocessors
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering topics
• Basic knowledge of engineering software and systems
• Ability/willingness to work with combustible gases
• Ability to understand and clearly communicate various technical topics in multiple ways depending on the audience (management, engineers, salespersons, lawyers, consumers, suppliers domestic and international).
• Understand Electronic Basics and Mechanical Basics, Including Pressure, Flow, and Heating
• Mechanical Basics Including Pressure, Flow, and Heating
• Understanding of Microprocessor Function and Application
• Electronics Testing and Evaluation
• Preferred Working Knowledge of RF communication technology, gas valves and flame ignition and sensing technology, fireplace design & operation
• Open to Domestic and International Travel
